Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 29, 2026

Read Hub is a website built around a simple idea: reading well can change how you think, work, and live. To keep bringing you articles about books, reading habits, education, productivity, business, finance, psychology, and self-improvement, we rely on a website that functions properly and that means collecting a small amount of information along the way.

This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We’ve tried to write it the way we’d want a policy explained to us: honestly, in plain language, without legal padding just to make it sound official. If something here isn’t clear, you’re welcome to reach out through our Contact page.

This policy applies to your use of readhubb.com and any related pages, articles, or forms hosted on this domain. It doesn’t apply to third-party websites we link to, or to services we don’t control we’ll explain more about that later on.

Information We Collect

We don’t ask visitors to create accounts or hand over personal details just to read our articles. Most of what we collect happens automatically, in the background, the same way it does on nearly any website you visit.

Information collected automatically

When you visit Read Hub, our server and any analytics or advertising tools we use may automatically collect certain technical information, such as:

  • Your IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent on the site
  • Referring website or search terms that led you here
  • General location information (typically city or country level, based on IP address)

This is standard information collected by most websites, and it helps us understand how people use Read Hub so we can improve it. None of it identifies you personally in the way a name or email address would  it’s mostly aggregated with data from other visitors so we can spot patterns, like which articles are genuinely useful and which pages might be confusing or slow to load.

Information you provide directly

If you contact us through a form, email, or comment section, we’ll collect whatever you choose to share usually your name, email address, and the content of your message. We only use this to respond to you; we don’t add you to marketing lists without your consent.

If Read Hub ever adds a comments section or account-based features in the future, we’ll update this policy to reflect exactly what information that involves and how it’s handled.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as financial account details, government ID numbers, or health records, and we ask that you avoid including anything like that in messages to us. If you accidentally do, let us know and we’ll remove it promptly.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for practical, everyday purposes, including to:

  • Operate and maintain the website
  • Understand which articles and topics readers find useful
  • Improve site speed, structure, and navigation
  • Respond to questions or messages sent through our Contact page
  • Detect and prevent spam, abuse, or security issues
  • Display relevant advertising, where applicable, through services like Google AdSense

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Where advertising partners are involved, they may process data under their own privacy practices, which we explain further below.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Like most websites, Read Hub uses cookies, small text files stored on your device  along with similar technologies such as local storage, to help the site function properly and to understand how it’s used.

Broadly speaking, the cookies you might encounter on Read Hub fall into a few categories:

  • Essential cookies that help basic site features work correctly
  • Analytics cookies that help us understand traffic patterns and site performance, in an aggregated, non-identifying way
  • Advertising cookies, used once relevant advertising programs are active, to help display ads that are more relevant to you

Cookies on Read Hub may be used to:

  • Remember basic preferences, such as display settings
  • Understand aggregate traffic patterns and site performance
  • Support advertising features once relevant advertising programs are active

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time — most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies on a site-by-site basis. Keep in mind that disabling cookies entirely may affect how parts of the site function, though the core content will still be accessible.

Google AdSense and Advertising Cookies

Read Hub intends to use Google AdSense to display advertising, and we may begin doing so once our application for this program has been reviewed and approved by Google.

If and when AdSense is active on this site, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to Read Hub and other websites. This helps display advertising that’s more relevant to you, rather than generic ads.

You can learn more about how Google uses this information, and adjust your ad personalization settings, at Google’s own Ads Settings page. We don’t control how Google’s advertising systems operate internally  our role is limited to displaying the ads their system provides, in line with their program policies.

Third-Party Services (Including Google Analytics)

We may use third-party tools, such as Google Analytics, to help us understand how visitors interact with Read Hub. These services can collect information like the pages you view, how long you stay, what device or browser you’re using, and roughly where you’re visiting from geographically.

We use this information in aggregate  meaning we’re looking at overall trends across all visitors, not tracking individuals by name. It helps us answer practical questions, like which topics readers care about most, or whether a page is loading slowly enough to be worth fixing.

These third-party providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data, and we’d encourage you to review those directly if you’d like more detail on their specific practices. We choose analytics and service providers based on their general reputation for handling data responsibly, though we can’t make guarantees on their behalf, since their internal data practices are outside our direct control.

Affiliate Links and Sponsored Content

Some articles on Read Hub include affiliate links  for example, links to books on Amazon through the Amazon Associates program, or occasionally through Amazon KDP where we’ve published our own titles. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

We only include affiliate links to products or books we genuinely believe are worth mentioning based on the context of the article. Affiliate relationships don’t influence whether we think a book is good  they’re simply a way for the site to stay running.

If we ever publish sponsored content or a paid partnership, we’ll make a reasonable effort to identify it clearly as such, rather than presenting it as a regular, independent article.

Email Communications

If you email us or use our Contact page, we’ll use the information you provide solely to respond to your message. We don’t automatically subscribe you to a newsletter or mailing list just because you’ve contacted us.

If Read Hub introduces an email newsletter in the future, subscription will be optional and clearly opt-in, and every email will include a straightforward way to unsubscribe.

Data Security

We take reasonable, practical steps to protect the information we collect  including relying on secure hosting and standard website security practices, such as encrypted connections and routine software updates. That said, no website can honestly promise perfect, unbreakable security, and we wouldn’t want to claim otherwise. What we can promise is that we don’t treat your information carelessly, and we take reasonable precautions appropriate for a site like ours.

We also limit the information we ask for in the first place. Since we don’t require accounts or store payment details on our own servers, there’s simply less sensitive information at risk to begin with. Where third-party services are involved  such as our hosting provider or advertising partners  those services maintain their own security measures, which operate independently of ours.

If you ever have a specific security concern, please let us know through our Contact page.

Children’s Privacy

Read Hub is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you’re located, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information under applicable privacy laws. These commonly include the ability to:

  • Ask what information we hold about you
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of information you’ve provided to us
  • Object to certain uses of your information, such as advertising personalization
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Ask questions about how your information has been used

As a small, independent website, we don’t have the infrastructure of a large company with a dedicated privacy team  but we take these requests seriously, and we’ll do our honest best to respond in a reasonable timeframe and resolve any concerns you raise.

If you’d like to exercise any of these rights, reach out through our Contact page and let us know what you’re looking for. We may ask for enough information to confirm the request is genuinely coming from you, simply to avoid handling someone else’s data incorrectly.

Links to Other Websites

Some of our articles link out to other websites  whether that’s a bookstore, a research source, a news article, or a related resource. Once you leave Read Hub, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We’re not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites, so we’d encourage you to review their policies separately if you have concerns.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally for example, as we add new features, advertising programs, or tools to the site. When we do, we’ll update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We’d encourage you to check back periodically if you want to stay informed, though we won’t make changes that dramatically shift how your information is handled without making that clear.

Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how Read Hub handles information, the best way to reach us is through the Contact page on readhubb.com. We read every message and will do our best to respond promptly.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. We know privacy policies aren’t the most exciting part of visiting a website, but we wanted this one to actually mean something rather than just exist as a formality.
